To use one’s school holidays to learn German in Germany is advantageous, because your children will be encouraged to learn when their peer group is also learning German. Our Summer Courses for Children and Teenagers (10-13 and 14-17 respectively) are held in July and August. These Junior Courses are very popular, because they are tailor-made to the age requirements and utilise the communicative method with role play, amongst other things. Last but not least, our visits around various places of interest in Freiburg are sure to keep spirits high.

We offer three competency levels:

• Beginners/near beginners (0-2 years of prior schooling in German)
• Mid ability (3-5 years of prior schooling in German)
• Advanced (6-8 years of prior schooling in German)

During your child’s stay, he/she will be able to participate in a varied leisure programme guaranteed to keep boredom at bay. Our young assistants are highly motivated and kick things off with a “get to know party“. Favourite activities often include swimming, volleyball, football, rock climbing, minigolf, bonfires, or museum visits. Weekend outings can take us to Europapark Rust, the famous lake Titisee (for a boot trip), a summer toboggan  run as well as canoe trips, guided tours of Freiburg, barbeques, games’ evenings and, of course, the obligatory farewell nosh-up. All this goes to make our Junior Programme an experience of a life-time. That’s the way to learn German folks!

And there’s more to say yet! Our assistants set aside an hour a day for counselling should it be required by your child when away from home (perhaps for the first time?). Homesickness is simply more bearable when you can confide it. Furthermore, we provide our students with student passes (enabling them to gain cheaper access to numerous institutions), free entry vouchers, a monthly local transport pass and a leisure activity brochure – all free! And – no we haven’t forgotten – we fetch your child from the station upon arrival.
